 Red Feather Development Group is a national nonprofit housing and community development organization. We work with American Indian nations to find lasting solutions for the acute lack of proper housing and desperate poverty that continue to plague many of these communities.

 

 

Red Feather brings volunteers and tribal members together to learn straw bale building methods. By teaching this viable and sustainable building technique we work toward achieving our long-term goal of establishing reservation-based, American Indian managed straw bale building organizations. Red Feather believes that the way to turn the tide of homelessness and poverty on reservations is to work with tribal members to develop a sustainable means for Native communities to improve living conditions for generations to come.
